Just weeks before the first recognized case of COVID-19 in the States, I was Honorably Discharged From the U.S. Marine Corps. Faced the daunting task of restarting my life amidst a global pandemic, I started working construction with my father to have some sort of income during a time of insecurity within the job market.
Despite the valuable lessons learned under my father’s guidance I knew I wanted more for myself than laying brick and building stone walls - I wanted to continue to serve the people around me. I began researching the areas of society that needed the most help, it came to no surprise that there was an increased need of psychologists following the pandemic. Thus, I enrolled into Naropa University as a psychology major to study the required material so I could continue to serve my communities needs.
Understating the financial cost of therapy and how many people cannot afford a therapeutic session, I sought to find ways to cut costs for future clients. Still enrolled in school I started offering coaching options at an affordable price, taking on the financial burden myself. Then, after a conversation with a fellow Veteran it became clear to me that I could embark on a financial journey to bring affordable counseling and coaching to those in my community.
It is now my vision to support as many local businesses with an ATM so their clients or customers have access to cash. A portion of each transaction goes towards reducing the costs of counseling, coaching, and mentoring fellow community members in need of guidance and help.
Alden Financial Partners in more than an ATM distributor, its the financial roots of a vision for a community in need.
